Amytornis rowleyi Recently split from the Striated Grasswren (Amytornis striatus) The Rusty Grasswren is restricted to areas of central, western Queensland. It mainly forages on the ground, sifting through leaf-litter beneath shrubs, stunted mallee and the surrounding spinifex Triodia tussocks and is never far from cover.
